Back in September, we talked about getting your business ready for the festive season. I think we’d all say that we are now well and truly in the festive season so let’s see what we can still do in our business to bring the festive fun.
Whether it just be on social media or your website to add some festive fun. What about adding a Santa hat to your profile picture? If you’ve decorated your office/house be sure to share on social to show people how you’re getting into the spirit of the season.
Schedule some festive blog posts
It’s not too late to pull together your ultimate Christmas gift ideas lists. Share some love for products you’re obsessed with right now, you never know whose Christmas shopping you could inspire. Just be sure it’s on message – for example, it wouldn’t make sense for me to have a gift ideas lift for skiers, I’ve got no idea what to get them and you don’t visit my site to talk about skiing.
If you sell items when is the cut off for couriers
This is a really important question if you have a store because people love to shop online but what they don’t love is if their well thought out gift doesn’t arrive in time. So find out when is the cutoff and tell people about it, a lot!
Review stock items
If there is anything that you’ve run out of be sure to make note of that on your website and if it’s on any Christmas gift idea lists be sure to update those so you don’t annoy people. Also, if you have lots of something be sure to add that into a list to help sell a few more.
Send one last newsletter
Put some good vibes out in the world and wish your supporters a Happy Christmas, even if you haven’t really spoken to them all year it’s still nice to do. Oh and if you have exciting new things coming in 2018 be sure to hint at them, keep the fun going into the new year.
Take time to enjoy the season
It’s so easy to get swept away in the festive to do list and forget to enjoy yourself. What is it you really love about the season and go do that. I love looking at Christmas lights so will make time to go for an evening walk in my neighbourhood to check them out.
Here’s to a great end to 2017 for us all!
